Rock Cancer EVENT DETAILS!

Hello Rock Cancer Community!

We are excited to announce our annual Rock Cancer Fall 2026 Kick Off Event at Planet Rock in Ann Arbor on Sunday Night, Sept 20 - from 6-8 pm.  Rock Cancer is a free program for children and young adults with cancer or a history of cancer that has been running since 2018. 

To celebrate our amazing community, we will have the entire "ropes" side of the gym and invite Rock Cancer participants/community, UM Pediatric and AYA Oncology staff, Planet Rock employees and Climbing Team members and Michigan Climbing Club members (siblings/friends welcome -- activities for all levels).  

Suggested donation of $5 but feel free to come for free (or donate more to the amazing program)

We will provide the following activities to jump start the 2026-2027 season!

• Rock climbing + crate stacking  (belayers and gear provided)
• (FREE) Pizza and drinks
• Lead climbing show by Adaptive Climbing Group - Chicago and Planet Rock team members
• Reel Rock movies streamed in Movie Theatre ("old yoga" room) - bring a fun chair
• DJ Light Bulb performance
• Awards for climbers, belayers and Rock Cancer community members
